The Surrey Collaboration Project aims to deliver Surrey-wide asset management and construction procurement improvements in three strategic areas:
- Product - In conjunction with Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE), local construction and consultancy frameworks and maintenance arrangements are being put in place. All Surrey authorities will have the opportunity to access these.
- Process - the Collaboration Project is taking forward the Surrey First Assets Workstream and its approach to the strategic management of public sector assets across Surrey.
- People - developing the capacity to share property services across Surrey, again through Surrey First.
Karen Whelan (CEO, Surrey Heath BC) is the lead Surrey Chief Executive for this work and has said:
"I am delighted with the progress achieved through the immense support we have received from all public authorities in Surrey and iESE. Good practice and ground breaking achievements combine to benefit all public sector organisations in Surrey and the South East. Continued support and involvement from partners in the coming year is crucial to achieving our goals for the project."
