Thanks to funding and support from the Surrey Improvement Partnership (SIP) and Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE), the Surrey Climate Change Partnership has commissioned a joint strategy that aligns shared goals and objectives to better enable Surrey to tackle climate change together - looking ahead to 2020 and beyond. It also recognises the established and ongoing work of Surrey authorities and their partners.
The Surrey Climate Change Strategy will build capacity, bring about efficiencies in addressing local climate change targets, and help to make significant contributions to the regional and national picture. The Strategy will be at the centre of action to reduce the county-wide environmental footprint.
The Strategy was endorsed by the Surrey Strategic Partnership (SSP)at its meeting in December 2009.
